FITTING METHOD OF ARBOR INTO SLEEVE AND ARBOR COOLING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To fit an arbor easily in a sleeve by cooling the outside surface of the arbor to a certain temperature with evaporation heat and by tempering the sleeve and heating to a temperature around the lower limit. CONSTITUTION:A container 1 having bottom is surrounded by insulation 1B, 1D, 1E, 1F made of foaming styrol etc. and covered with a lid 2 lined with insulation 2B. An arbor A is held at another lid 6 by a stopper 6 and hang down in the container 1. The lid 2 is, together with the arbor A, brought in and out of the container by wire rope 8. The arbor is cooled to an intended temperature by the liquefied gas fed through the feeder member 3, which is composed of ring-shaped pipes surrounding the arbor A, and sprayed out of a liquefied gas container 9. Thus the sleeve, which is heated to a temperature around the lower limit of tempering, is fitted on the cooled arbor.
