PURPOSE:To allow relative displacement between a vacuum container and the helical coil and to prevent thermal invasion by arranging a plurality of supporting rings on the outside of the surface of a torus at some interval in the direction of the torus and by connecting and fixing the supporting rings with and to each other by means of fixing rods. CONSTITUTION:The supporting structure 11 has the supporting rings 12 and fixing rods 13 both of which are nonmagnetic and are made of material having the same thermal expansion coefficient as that of the helical coil 1. The helical coil 1 is wound round spirally along the assumed surface 2' of the torus and supported by the supporting rings 12. Plural numbers of supporting rings 12 are arranged at some interval in the direction of the torus, and are connected with and fixed to each other by the fixing rods 13, being positioned on the outside of the assumed surface 2' of the torus. In addition, each supporting ring 12 is made dividably in two by a dividing part 14. Thereby the thermal invasion can be prevented.
