The machine tool programming system produces a workpiece drawing whose axes comply with the relevant German standards. The projections of the Cartesian planes are simply and efficiently converted into the program for the workpiece. The system is controlled by a computer which takes account of the limitations of the machine, the material, the tool and the way the tool is set up. There is a direct intuitive contour description and the on-line graphic representation. This is projected on a screen where any errors can be displayed.
