ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE:A X-ray irradiation head for panoramic irradiationusing a beam of accelerated charged particles comprises atarget having a surface of revolution the axis of whichis conciding with the axis along which the beam propagatesin the absence of the deflection, and a magnetic device whichsimultaneously produces photons in several direction whenaccelerated particles impinge upon the target. The magneticdeflection device comprises a magnetic focussing device andfeed connected thereto to cause the beam of particles toconverge on the axis of the irradiation head before the targetin such a way that the target receives a divergent beam ofparticles. In this case, the irradiation beam takes place ina solid angle.
