: Cyclic process for the treatment of a uranium liquor containing, in addition to the desired metal, sodium carbonate and / or bicarbonate and sodium sulfate, obtained by the alkaline attack on a uranium ore containing sulfur. This process involves the fixation of uranium on a first strong anionic resin, its elution with a solution of ammonium carbonate and / or bicarbonate, in the form of an ammonium uranyltricarbonate subsequently decomplexed, the precipitation and the calcination of the precipitated uranates and / or diuranates with regeneration of the eluting solution of ammonium carbonate and / or bicarbonate, the passage of the liquor freed from the uranium leaving the first strong anionic resin in a neutralization zone then over a second anionic resin eliminating SO4 = ions subsequently precipitated in the calcium form, recycling a carbonated and / or bicarbonated liquor free of SO4 ions = attack on the ore, finally regenerating the liquor eluting the SO4 ions. The treatment process of the invention makes it possible successively to separate the uranium contained in the uraniferous liquor, to treat the liquor thus freed from the uranium in order to separate the sulphate ions therefrom, and to obtain a solution of alkali carbonates and / or bicarbonates, recyclable to attack by ore.
