ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe invention relates to an ink feeding device for theink-roll mechanism of a rotary printing machine with aduct-roller and a transfer roller cooperating not onlywith the duct roller but also with one of the inking unitrollers. The transfer roller is mounted upon its controlshaft with play over its entire length. The surface of thetransfer roller is of closed design. The body of thetransfer roller is designed to flex at right angles to itsaxis of rotation. Means are provided to ensure that thetransfer roller is pressed over its entire length snuglyagainst both the duct roller and the inking unit roller.These means may be dispensed with if the weight of the transferroller ensures that the surface thereof is pressed snuglyagainst the two adjacent rollers. Extremely thin filmsof ink can be transferred continuously since by reason of itsresiliency and its special mounting, the transfer roller isfully adapted to the shape of the surfaces of the two adjacentrollers.
