The electrically heated emission cathode is designed to have electrical and mechanical stability and is of the type used for the tubes in TV and similar equipment. The cathode carrier (1) is a metal mesh domed or cupped in two profiles and with the emission cathode (2) sitting on the top of the dome. The metal mesh dome (1) is the electrical heating element constructed out of resistance material. The emission cathode (2) is a layer formation porous sintered pressing.PS.
