A switching circuit for a telephone exchange enables common dialling code receiver switching circuits to be separated connected to individually connecting selectors having their own control. A dialing code receiver circuit connected to a selector can drive it to various outlet groups according to the alternate routing line up on the basis of received dialling data. The selectors have an engaged current path on one side with engaged switching appts. This current path enables a preceding switching component to be connected to a testing and engaging current circuit which serves to supervise the connection when the selector is engaged.
