A method of electrolytic extraction of gallium or gallium with vanadium concentrate from alkaline solutions of alumina production consisting in carrying out the electrolysis on solid electrodes at a cathode current density of 3.4 to 4.5 V, at a temperature of 28 to 37`C and in the presence of a metal which is introduced preliminarily into the initial solutions at a redundancy rate of 1 to 10 in relation to the gallium and which, when subjected together with gallium to the electrolytic reduction, forms an alloy not capable of passivation under the conditions of the electrolysis.
