The weft, for a weft Raschel knitted fabric, is composed of an elastomeric yarn of 140-200 denier using two yarn types of natural or synthetic threads. The fabric is manufactured with wefts and standing yarns under a constant light tension, and then held by a stentor to be shrunk in a steam process. The knitted fabric is then washed and dried. The process allows the mfr. of a bi-stretch material, using economical yarns.
