The hooked blades (13) lie parallel to the plane of the warps (F1,F2, etc.) in the unit (V) to form a lease, in a sizing or similar textile machine, but sliding across their direction of travel. The individual lease rods (T9,T10,T11,etc.) can be adjusted (60) to be raised or lowered separately from each other. The assembly does not require expensive components, and is easily manned by relatively unskilled operatives. The mounting guide (57) for the hooked blades (13) can slide laterally through an adjustment unit. The adjustment components (20-23) for the lease rod setter (60) and/or the hooked blade guide are operated pneumatically, with a common control (75) to synchronise their operation, using a single control button (76). The hooked blade guide (57) is on a roller mounting to give height adjustment in relation to the machine frame (19). The roller supports for the hooked blades (13) are also adjustable for width. Limit switches deliver impulses to the control unit (75) when the hooked blade guide (57) reaches the ends of its reciprocating path. There are mounting heads on each lease rod adjuster (60) for the ends of the lease rods (T9,T10,etc.) with a grip end on the lease rod (T) and a lock to bond them together, with the grip ends and the mounting heads located on the operating side of the machine. Paired guide rods are fitted to the lease rod adjuster (60) with a rack and two pinions to engage in the teeth of the guide rods.
