The dose efficiency of this diagnostic radiation instrument with a radiation source of 137 Cs with 662 keV is greatly increased by having several parallel, adjacent high resolution collimators with corresponding detectors whose output is sorted electronically according to the energy of the collimated radiation scattered by the examined structures. The collimator assembly (6,6') has several adjacent slits (7,7'). Each detector (9,9') of the detector strip assembly (8,8') produces an output which is related to the energy of the incident scattered rays (a-d). The detector signals are sorted according to the origin of the scattered rays and an image corresponding to the examined structure is reconstructed.
