Two=part mould for thermoplastic foam - in which vacuum tightness is provided by peripheral double joint seals with vacuum between them

A moulding is produced from foam thermoplastics or from a melt etc. using a vacuum for exhausting the mould, which is in two parts with sealed joint line, and feed for the material. The seal at the joint line is a vacuum seal connected to the vacuum source and extending along at least most of its lenqth. Suitable for e.g. expanded polystyrene, simple construction system which is efficient and reliable.
