Anti-noise barrier constructional system - uses perforated and unperforated metal sheet with flat and corrugated foil, some perforated, compressed between them

The panel is particularly intended for a noise attenuating barrier, such as may be arranged alongside a motorway. It is filled with sound-absorbent material (2,6) which comprises corrugated, interconnected, and at least partly perforated (10) plastics foil (4,5,8). The front wall (1) is a perforated metal sheet with 20 to 40% perforation area and the sheet metal rear wall (9) is unperforated. The sound-absorbent material is arranged in layers (3,7) of which part (3) consists of alternating corrugated (4) and flat (5) foil, both perforated. The foil (4,5,8) layers (3,7) are compressed between the two walls (1,9) to between 30 and 75% of their initial thickness, so that they are irregularly deformed.
