The arrangement is for the evaluation of variations in impedance of a sensor coil varying in distance from a measurement object and has a sinusoidal, triangular wave or rectangular wave voltage generator for the coil ooeratino voltage and a device which measures the coil partial voltage. It produces a positive voltage for separation distances greater than the null voltage position and negative voltages for distances less than the null voltage position. The generator (G) is connected via series resistors (11,1) to diagonal corners (F,K) of a bridge circuit cont. the sensor coil (2).S The bridge diagonal corners (F,K) are connected in diodes (3,13) to storage capacitors (4,14) with parallel discharge resistors (5,15). The discharge resistor (5,15) junction is connected to the sensor coil. The other ends of the discharge resistors are connected to the current or voltage meter (2) in the other bridge diagonal.
