The arrangement contains a sensor element with an electrically measurable characteristic which varies with the measurement parameter and an evaluation circuit. The sensor element is a coil of elastic, electrically conducting material eg a spring. The coil (1) is arranged to expand or contract with variations in the measurement parameter. The self-induction coefficient of the coil varies with its length and is detected in the evaluation circuit (10) as a measure of the measurement parameter. USE/ADVANTAGE - The measurement arrangement is relatively simple, can be made at low cost and operates reliably, and is suitable for use in motor vehicles.
