Pulse generator with adjustable pulse shape - produces linearly rising pulses by multiplying pulse and ramp

A pulse generator produces a square wave signal (1,1') of width, ta, and mark-space ratio ta/tb. The output signal is fed to an inverter (Lzg) whose operation is controlled by a timing unit (Stell) which also controls the timing of the generator. Thus, the inserter produces an output of pulse of width tp' when tp' is less than or equal to ta. Its output is fed to a mixer. The generator output is also fed to a negative-going transition detector which produces a very narrow pulse of width, ta, in response to an input. This output is fed to a low pass filter (komm). A linear amplifier (Video) provides a second input (4,4') to the mixer. The amplifier receives inputs from either the low-pass filter or a ramp generator (Rampe) via switches (3,3'). The ramp generator receives inputs from the pulse generator and the timing circuit. The mixer output is fed via two amplifiers (U,I) to a subsequent load (Last). The invention is particularly useful in supplying energy for input oscillators.
