The dual-circuit pressure control valve has two proportioning valves in a housing in parallel. Each valve is assigned to a brake circuit and has a separate control piston between an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber. The control pistons are subjected to a joint control force acting on the pistons through the intermediary of a preload distributor (137). For hydraulically balancing the outlet pressures between the outlet chambers of the brake circuits a piston with end surfaces of equal size, is acted upon by the pressures in the outlet chambers. On movement of the piston, the valves (114, 114', 116, 116') of the brake circuits, are controlled by a cam (127, 128) on each end of the piston acting on a stem (117, 117') of the valve (114, 114') via a tappet.
