The motor vehicle disc (2) brake assembly comprises a carrier (1) secured to the vehicle and a floating caliper (10) at least partly guided via one or more bolts (11) on the carrier. The carrier engages corresponding bores (14) in the caliper, or vice versa, with a resilient bush (13) interposed between each bolt and bore. The outer surface of the bush fits in the bore whilst its inner surface fits around the bolt. Before mounting, the centre line of this outer surface is eccentric relative to that of the bolt such that, when fitted, the bush is deformed and produces a force (F) which presses the caliper against the carrier.
