Poles are connectable to draw rods on traction units. They are driven by motors travelling on rails high above the ground. The connection comprises a cross rod and a retaining aperture closable by a movable claw. The conveyor system tows conveyors travelling on the ground. The claw has a guiding unit displaceably led in a guideway in draw rod (12) or pole (9), parallel to these, towards the aperture. The guideway can have a draw loop and hinge bolt connecting it to a toggle lever, in turn hinged to the draw rod or pole. A guideway for the cross rod (10) and/or cross rod handle can be provided parallel to the claw guide unit.
