Conductive track holder on PCB - has bare conductors of track protruding from insulating strip for direct electric connection

The holder consists of an elongated insulating strip (1) of U-shaped cross section, with a raster of electric contacts on its underside. The cross section is so dimensioned it can accommodate the end of a strip conductor (3), including its insulation (4). It may be fitted with fasteners for securing to a printed circuit board (6). The insulation stripped conductors (5) of the strip conductor protrude from the insulating strip, providing direct electric and also mechanical coupling to the circuit board. Pref. the inner sides of the shanks of the U-shaped strip are outwards rounded at their tops. V-shaped, transverse grooves (14) may be formed in upper ends of the shanks in the contact regions. Narrow spacer straps may be formed on the insulating strip underside.
