Filter material consists of a material contg. diopside with macro- to micro-porous structure. The filter material is useful in air purificn. in agriculture, industrial and sewage plants and civilian, military and other protective areas. It has a geometrically constant shape, unchangeable granulometric properties, stable filter action, high aggregate and intrinsic pore fraction, filter efficiency and durability and can be handled easily and allows pneumatic filling and emptying of the filter system. The material is used in various fractions according to the height of the bed and the pressure difference in the filter system concerned.
