The casing has a lid for the lower part and a sealing ring, insertable between these two parts. The sealing ring surrounds the peripheral edge of the lid and, when closed, is brought into hermetic contact with an annular surface region on a deformed edge of the lower part of the casing. The sealing ring (15) has at least one preformed surface on its entire periphery. This surface matches a preformed, annular abutment surface on the casing (10) lower part. Pref. the matching peripheral surface of the sealing ring is in the form of an annular abutment surface in the normal plane of the casing lower part on a casing shoulder. The sealing ring may be in the form of the lid (20) surrounding ring and an annular shank (16), extending into the casing inside. The annular shank may be of insulating material.
