The rotary-piston machine-driving or driven- for fluid working media has helicoid-toothed pistons with axes inclined at less than 45 degrees to each other. The helix gradient of the piston teeth is referred to an intended motion- and pressure pattern of the working fluid so as to produce a predetermined rate of transporting chamber contents, e.g. for producing a desired motion-sequence as a driving or driven unit in a fluidic system. Alternatively, for a constant output constant torque pump, the radius describing the tooth base helix must increase with the rotary angle by the cube root of a constant value.
