The cantilevered stairs are made from prefab reinforced step members. Threaded pieces hold an end of a threaded bolt, for interconnection while the other end, with a nut anchored on it, passes through a guideway in the adjacent step of wider dia. The bolt is surrounded by a tube protruding telescopically beyond a guide piece, with an end pressure plate over the guideway hole with a hole for the bolt. The guide pice is a spacing tube (23), with a threaded end anchored on the external thread (19) of the threaded piece (18) for the bolt (20). A spacing unit or more than one, is located in the area between the bolt and the edge of the guideway in the adjacent step (11).
