The rotary grinding tool comprises a main body (1) carrying a number of circumferentially spaced axially projecting plate-shaped grinding segments (2) in diamond-containing material on its annular end face (3). These segments are interchangeably secured by means of spacers (5) which clamp the segments between them. The spacers may be arranged in an annular groove (4) in this face (3) and secured by set screws (not shown). Each spacer may be provided with a slot having a bore for a fixing screw with countersunk head to provide clamping action by lateral deformation when the screw is tightened.
