The device measuring volumetric flow in channels and pipes has a measured value generator in the pipe, as well as an evaluation device, possibly with an indicator display. The generator has a measuring member (6), elastically deformable under flow conditions. In its deformation zone (7) the member carries one or more tension measuring strips (9). The strip resistance changes, independence on flow velocity or volume, serve as a measuring signal for the evaluation device (11). In addition to its deformation zone, the measuring member pref. has an impact zone (8) exposed to the flow. Both zones may match in their dimensions and arrangement the pipe or channel geometry and the expected flow volume.
