Yagi aerial with wider band for side lobe damping - has reflector rods of specified proportions at 60 degrees to dipole

The Yagi aerial which gives a wider band for adjacent lobe damping, has a dipole (2) with a set of spaced parallel directional rods (4,6,8,10) in front of it, parallel to it. Below their plane, is a set of reflector rods (12,14,16,18). These parallel reflector rods are longer than 0.6 of a wavelength at the lower operating frequency, and the distance between them is not less than 0.1 wavelength at the lower operating frequency and not greater than 0.15 at the higher frequency. The plane of the reflector rods forms an angle of 60 degrees with the plane of the dipole and its directional rods.
