Stirrup type clamping of aerial dipoles - is particularly for yagi arrays and allows adjustment of dipole position

The stirrup type clamp for yagi arrays allows adjustment of position of the dipoles which are fixed to square or oblong section assembly rods by an inverted 'U' shaped clamp. The design is intended to miminise the number of operations required to fit such dipoles and allow adjustment of their position. The clamp is in the form of an open box, two sides extending to trap the shaft to which the dipole will be fixed; these sides have cut away slots to allow the dipole to be inserted. The remaining sides provide a seating against the shaft and by tightening the fixing screw one side is forced inward and upward to trap the dipole against some elastic material.
