One side corona discharge treatment of webs and bodies - uses electrode system, comprising point electrode(s) and earthing electrode, mounted in insulator

The exclusively single-side corona treatment is intended for material webs, or shaped objects. It an electrode system (7) consisting of at least one point electrode (3) and an earthing electrode (4), both mounted in a fully insulating body (5). The tip of the point electrode protruding from the insulator is offset in relation to the earthing electrode in the direction of the treated surface. The surface is treated by a corona beam (6), extending in the direction of the point electrode longitudinal axis. The treated surface is moved through the region of edge of the corona discharge, relative to the corona beam. The insulator is of cellular structure, having a high resistance to high frequency. It may be made of foamed plastics.
