The rod is fixed to the flap and slides in a plate to a position roughly ninety degrees to the upright to which the plate is fixed. The locking piece consists of a base fixed to the upright. Inserted into the base is an intermediate piece in which slides the rod. A screw screws into the intermediate piece and operates a locking device which causes the rod to rotate in the plate and the intermediate piece to rub against the base. The intermediate piece has a flanged lower face which frictionally engages the base to provide a locking action and which prevents its removal from the base.
