The central heating system has heating or air-conditioning bodies having heater elements in the form of convection radiators. By changing around or supplementing the component parts of the bodies into different combinations, or by fitting a tangential fan they can be matched from the point of view of heat output, to the temperature of the heating medium used, and to the environmental conditions relating to the areas to be heated. A moisturising unit can be mounted as an additional accessory in the heater body, being in the form of a finned refrigerator vaporising coil.
