The automatic camera has an exposure control which determines whether daylight or flash exposure is set. Once the mode of exposure is selected by the control then an inhibit circuit retains the mode until the exposure is set. Once circuit retains the mode until the exposure sequence is completed. This prevents partial exposure with focal plane shutter. The exposure control uses logic circuits to inhibit the change od mode, even when the flash capacitor has been charged sufficiently to fire the flash tube. The inhibit is lifted at the end of the exposure and film transport sequence, so that the next frame can be exposed differently.
