摘要
The precast pacing slabs may be used on hard shoulders or car parks. They may be of reinforced concrete with regularly distributed through drainage holes, and are tied together once installed. The tying system may deploy inclined removable pins (5) which unite the edges of two abutting slabs (1). The slabs are installed by first breaking up the soil surface and then ramming successive slabs into place to form a contiguous paved surface. Alternatively the slabs may be laid directly onto existing ground. Once installed the joints between slabs may be filled with land or topsoil to promote vegetation growth. The slabs may have undulating major faces (1, 3, 6, 7) formed by a regular grid or half round section channels (3, 7), and the drain holes may be located at grid nodes.
