Recording of video signal component in consecutive parallel tracks - shifting video signal phase at certain intervals to achieve set phase difference between adjacent lines (NL 17.1.78)
Video signal content appears in consecutive line intervals. A carrier is frequency modulated with the video signal component, and the f.m signal is recorded. Phase of the f.m video signal is shifted in selected time intervals, so that the phase difference between modulated video signals in at least some adjacent recorded line intervals in consecutive tracks is an odd multiple of pi. The control signals from the flip-flop (32) are conducted to the servo control circuit (30) via a recording terminal of a record/playback switch. The control signals are also fed to the fixed transducer (39) via an amplifier (38).
