P process for the widening of the distribution of ethylene polymers manufactured under high pressure and at high temperature. / p & & p & it consists of a method of polymerization of ethylene, under a pressure of between 600 and 3 000 bars and at a temperature of between 160 degrees and 320°C, in two reactors operating in parallel, a first reactor in which the reaction is carried out in the presence of at least 0,1% of hydrogen in order to produce a polymer of high molecular mass, a second reactor in which the reaction is carried out in the presence of 0,2 to 5% of hydrogen in order to produce a polymer of low molecular mass, the effluents from these two reactors being expanded and sent to a set of two separators interconnected so as to mix efficiently the polymers produced in the two reactors, by recycling in the supply circuit of the first reactor, the least possible amount of hydrogen in a manner such that the proportion of hydrogen in the first reactor remains less than 0,1% in moles. Application to the production of ethylene polymers having a fluidity index comprised between 0,1 and 2, and a polydispersity index of greater than 8. / p
