The compressive force of the resilient member in the ski safety binding can be adjusted using an indicator having a scale which is located on a plate (9). It can be displaced in the adjustment direction of the adjustment member (7) before it is fixed directly or indirelty in position on the housing (1). The plate (9), has a stop (16) which can be moved forwards the reference face (13) of the adjustment member (7) or the pointer attached to some, and which after assembly can be removed or made inoperative. The adjustment member (7), is now brought into a position for which the release strength has a predetermined valuve which corresponds to the marking number of the scale on the plate (9) where the stop is found.
