The corner stanchion (1) has grooves at right angles while the intermediate stanchion (2) has an extra groove. Bottom, top and intermediate rails (4,5,3) span between stanchions and the gaps formed between them are filled with rigid plates (6) slotting into the grooves. The prefabricated panel is given an inside and an outside facing by nailing or gluing panels to the framework. The interior air gap is filled with insulation and the exterior air gap is ventilated, so that the completed wall is light and adaptable to a variety of building site uses.
