The flat panel (1) is of a uniform thickness, has a simple geometric shape with a narrow straight slot (5) cut in one or more sides. Construction use standard panels (1,100) in combination. The connection is made by dry jointing with slots (5) housing the edges of perpendicular counter panels. Slots open out on the side concerned and extend inward for a distance not less than one tenth of the corresp. panel width, and are of a width equal to panel thickness. Alternatively, panels may be tri-laminar with the core of an elastic material, the slot (5) width equal to the compressed panel thickness. A typical standard panel (1) is square with a central slot (5) in each side and extending normally for a quarter of the panel side.
