Organo-Si cpd. of formula R1R2C=C(R3')-CH2-Si(Z)Cl2 (I), (where Z is Cl or C6H5; and the R gps. are H or alkyl, or R2 and R3 may form with the C=C gp., a phenyl gp. opt. substd. by alkyl or chlorosilylmethyl), is prepd. by reacting (II) R1R2C=C(R4)-CH2-X, where X is Cl or Br; the R gps. are H or alkyl, or R2 and R3 may form, with the C=C gp., a phenyl gp. opt. substd. by alkyl or by X-CH2-, (III) a polysilane, and (IV) SiCl4 or C6H5SiCl3. Reaction is in presence of a catalyst formed from nickelocene, opt. substd. by 2 or 4 alkyl gps., and an aprotic base. Allyl Si cpds. can be prepd. from disilanes and allyl halides. Allyl cpds. with phenylidchlorosilyl gps., and aryltrichlorosilanes, can be obtd. Allyltrichlorosilane is an intermediate for prepn. of bonding agents for organopolysiloxane compsns.
