The breeding process commences with eight pure breeds of rabbit, these being R1 = New Zealand white, R2 = silver fox; R3 = flemish giant, R4 = fawn; R5 = common white; R6 = Californian; R7 = New Zealand, R8 = large Russian. These are interbred to produce R1 + R2; R3 + R4; R5 + R6; R7 + R8. The progeny of these four pairs are AGP1, AGP2, AGP3, and AGP4. The first two strains are interbred to provide the required qualities and the second two interbred to provide the required quantities. Their progency become P1 and P2 and these two products are again interbred to provide the final product PF.
