The precast reinforced concrete section is used as a permanent former for an in situ reinforced concrete eaves level ring beam (6) and may be used in house construction, and has a cantilevered eaves overhang (5). It comprises two parallel slabs of a vertically elongated rectangular section and set a definite distance apart by partially embedded rectangular reinforcement stirrups (4). Units are placed side by side on the head of a wall (13) to form the longitudinal faces of a tie beam, and the outhang (5) soffit may simulate a single or a double layer of half round tiles. Longitudinal steel rod (7-10) and further stirrups may be fixed to the first stirrups (4). . 1,2.
