Control of cotton pests with mixed pesticide - contg. cypermethrin and triazophos

Control of pests on cotton plants is effected by treating the plants with a compsn. contg. cypermethrin (I) and triazophos (II). The application rate is 15-30 (pref. 20-30) g/ha for (I) and 100-300 (pref. 150-250) g/ha for (II). Cpd. (I) is m-phenoxy-alpha-cyanobenzyl 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2,2- dichlorovinyl)- cyclopropane-carboxylate and (II) O,O-diethyl O-(1-phenyl-1H-1,2,4-triazin-3-yl) phosphorothioate. The method provides good control of insects and acarids (e.g. Cosmophila, Dysparopsis, Heliothis, Prodenia, Platyedra, Sylepta and Cryptophlebia) at lower application rates than those normally recommended for combinations of (I) and (II).
