The apparatus sorts or grades fragile inhomogeneous products, particularly fullt-cooked shrimps. There is a series of pairs of tracks (1-8) inclined to each other and at several different levels (9-12) one above the other. The ends of the tracks in a pair are spaced apart so as to form spouts (G1,G2), whose width at the bottom (E1,E2) corresponds to the thickness of an item to be separated out, these widths decreasing from top to bottom. The angle between the tracks in a pair can be approximately 15 deg.
