The anti-theft retainer for a helmet on a motorcycle has a net (4) with a flexible peripheral strap at each side and a central transverse strap. These are attached to the motorcycle via rods (10,11) with integral points to connect to the straps and motorcycle. The transverse strap can have two flexible sections, each articulated about one extremity. The fixing points on the motorcycle are laterally movable on it under the seat. The fixing points can have locks to retain the rod ends.
