The glass U shaped panels are fastened to each other using a weatherproof seal (27) and have a length slightly greater than the height of the bay so that they can be fixed to two horizontal supports (1,2) at the bottom and top of the bay. The fixing to the supports is made using angle brackets (12,18) spaced at intervals to correspond to the width of the panels. A plate (8) is fixed to the bottom support before the glass panel is laid, the outer edge of the plate (11) forming a skirt that deflects rainwater away from the bay.
