Hybrid cells capable of producing human interferon antibodies are prepd. by fusion of myeloma cells, and the like, with cells producing human anti-interferon antibodies, originally coming from a host animal, such as a mouse. These hybrid cells have the characteristic of inducing liq. tumours, notably ascites, when implanted in vivo.
