A circular shutter slides on the plane face of the base of the valve, and has a smooth plane contact surface with a slot-shaped cavity. The shutter is carried on and guided by a deformable parallelogram incorporating two identical parallel pairs of rod frames rotating about fixed axes and jointed at their free ends to a staple. This ensures close contact under spring pressure between the shutter and face, which is improved further by a hermetic seal constituted by a deformable sleeve surrounding the shutter and base. The sleeve is filled with liq. via channels which are then plugged to prevent leakage and to exclude air from the contact face. The valve is opened and closed by alternately energised electromagnets.
