Foaming mineral compsn. esp. a mineral resin based on magnesium oxychloride or oxysulphate, in the form of a paste ready for expansion is described comprising a mixt. of Mg chloride or sulphate, water, MgO, with a foaming agent and carbon black. Any method of expansion of the mineral can be used without the risk of premature hardening and its consequent problems of crack formation disintegration etc.
