The viewer for relief perspective has binoculars with red and blue filters. It is used with a flat picture in two colours - red and blue to give a picture in black relief. The binoculars, placed in the viewer relative to the flat picture must satisfy a particular geometric position (the ideal is when 0'0 = 740mm and 0'V = 650mm) to give a visual axis inclined to the base (P) at 42 degrees. The angle of the bicoloured rays are 3.5 degrees relative to the centre axis, but they can vary between 1.5 degrees and 12 degrees. Red and green colours may replace red and blue.
